Pacific Russia informs about the project “Russia’s North Pacific”, which has been established by the German Historical Institute Moscow together with the chair of Russian/Asian studies of Munich’s Ludwig Maximilians University.

The aim of this project is to create a network of researchers worldwide who deal with entanglements and disentanglements of Russia within the Asia-Pacific in past and present. Pacific Russia will inform about

  • the project’s team and network
  • upcoming events and publications and
  • opportunities to participate in the network.

The blog will also post updates about the project’s book series Russia in the Asia-Pacific. In addition, the blog might eventually evolve into a platform for publishing essays or selected articles and statements online on the part of experts in the field.
